Introduced at last year’s SEMA Show, the 2014 Corvette Pacific Concept customized the C7 Corvette to look like a race car, without any performance modifications. Finished in “flashy” Torch Red exterior with a pair of Satin Black racing stripes, the Corvette Pacific Concept took center stage in Las Vegas. Apparently, all that attention prompted Chevrolet to roll out a similar package for the 2015 Corvette Stingray Coupe.
Unlike the Atlantic Design Package that adds a few exterior updates and almost no interior upgrades, the Pacific Design Package some serious content for owners that like to track their Corvettes.
The Pacific Design Package is exclusive to Z51-equipped coupes in either 2LT and 3LT trim. And like any 2015 Corvette Stingray, it can be ordered with the all-new eight-speed automatic tranny with paddle shifters and the Performance Data Recorder.
Similar to the Atlantic, the Pacific package also benefits from the Z06-style front splitter, but the coupe sports a more attractive appearance, thanks to its Satin Black racing stripes and matching Z51 wheels. The rims also feature contrasting red stripe with Stingray center caps, with the red brake calipers.
Five color options are available for the Pacific Design Package: Torch Red, Black, Arctic White, Blade Silver and Shark Gray.
Adding to the Corvette’s aggressive, track-ready looks is a “CFZ” carbon-fiber ground effects package and carbon-fiber roof panel, coupled with Carbon Flash-painted rear spoiler and mirrors. Blacked-out exterior badges round off the vehicle’s unique and convincing appearance. Custom splash guards and a rear license plate frame are also offered.
Inside a pair of Competition Sport seats, available as an option on the regular Corvette, carbon-fiber trim and custom Stingray sill plates and floor mats.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the seventh iteration of the iconic sports car and features a brand-new exterior design and a completely reworked interior.
